RD6 is a dark wine-toned pigment positioned below scarlet shades. Its muted value suits roses, fabric folds, ornamental motifs, lips, and shadowed marks that should remain in the same family.

Color and mixing

Use the original pigment for solid fields or combine it with Fire Red to build a lighter transition. Black pushes the mixture toward burgundy, while white produces dusty rose variations.

Magenta or purple moves the result toward berry and violet territory. Prepare a small batch, introduce each component gradually, and record the ratio when the same blend may be needed again.

Application

The formula suits packing, gradients, outlines, compact shading, and small accents. Floral subjects, old-school flash, pin-up features, drapery, and decorative motifs are practical uses for its darker value.
